FAR EAST ROADSHOW

The Far East Roadshow promotes culture from China, Japan and Korea, especially as it combines with Europe and its traditions. With all the recent emphasis on China, Far East Roadshow has followed suit with its Inspired By China programme, premiered in December 09.

Far East Roadshow is developing a three part festival devoted to combined China-Japan-Korea arts, with western involvement. An example is seen in the development of repertoire for guzheng, koto and kayagum; but more interestingly in the presentation of East Asian Tales touching on all four cultures.

FER is intended as a touring festival with an annual London base. Events will touch on any of the cultures involved, fused creatively.
